1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Doobies ("the App," "our Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Doobies ("we," "our," or "us").

2. Description of Service

Doobies is a daily planner application designed to help you close the loop between planning and doing. Our service includes:

• Task management and daily planning
• Activity logging and time tracking
• Habit tracking
• Goal setting and progress tracking
• Daily reflection and journaling
• AI-powered planning assistant
• Calendar integration (e.g., Google Calendar)
• Customizable templates
• Push notifications and reminders
• Cloud sync across devices

3. Account Registration

To use Doobies, you must create an account using Google or Apple sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Doobies. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Content & Data

You retain ownership of all content you create within Doobies, including tasks, activities, reflections, goals, habits, and chat messages with the AI assistant.

By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process, store, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. We will not sell your content or use it for purposes unrelated to delivering the Service.

5. AI Assistant

Doobies includes an AI-powered planning assistant. This feature is powered by third-party AI services (Anthropic). When you interact with the AI assistant, your messages are sent to our AI provider for processing.

The AI assistant is designed to help with planning and productivity. However:

• AI responses are generated automatically and may not always be accurate or complete
• The AI assistant does not constitute professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise)
• You should independently verify any important information provided by the AI assistant
• We are not liable for any decisions or actions you take based on AI-generated content

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use automated systems, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond normal use
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
• Use the AI assistant to generate harmful, abusive, or misleading content

7. Intellectual Property

The Doobies name, logo, app design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Doobies and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property without prior written consent.

Your content remains yours. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your data to us beyond the limited license granted in Section 4.

8. Third-Party Services

Doobies integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality. These services include but are not limited to:

• Google — authentication and calendar integration
• Apple — authentication
• Supabase — cloud data storage and sync
• OneSignal — push notifications
• PostHog — analytics
• Anthropic — AI assistant

Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party providers.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms of Use or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful to the Service or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before or at the time of termination.

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon account deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Doobies and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
